Our Religious Life

Rooted in Tradition, Ready for Today

At TBI, we believe that ancient traditions provide the grounding we need for modern life.
We offer a spiritual home that is authentic, accessible, and deeply personal. As a
Conservative congregation, we honor the traditional structure of Jewish liturgy while
ensuring every soul feels welcome in our sanctuary.

The Shabbat Experience

Our services are the heartbeat of our community—a sanctuary from the noise of the week.

Traditional & Intimate

We gather every Friday night to welcome the Sabbath. Our services are:

  • Leader-Led & Participatory: While guided by our leadership, our small size means you aren’t just a spectator.
There are ample opportunities for congregants to take an active role, from aliyot to leading specific prayers.

  • A Balance of Language: We utilize a thoughtful blend of Hebrew and English, ensuring the service remains rooted
in our heritage while remaining meaningful and easy to follow.

  • A Focus on the Word: Our services are traditional and typically do not feature musical instruments, allowing for a quiet, reflective, and powerful prayer experience.

The Friday Night Schedule

  • Weekly (Sept – May): We meet every Friday evening to celebrate Shabbat together.

  • Summer (June – Aug): We transition to a bi-weekly schedule, allowing our community to enjoy the season while staying connected.

Beyond the Sanctuary

The Oneg: Where Community Happens

Prayer is only half the story. Following services, we host an Oneg Shabbat. This informal social hour is the "living room" of our synagogue.
It’s a time to catch up with old friends, meet new neighbors, and enjoy refreshments in a warm, relaxed atmosphere. If you are visiting for
the first time, this is the perfect moment to get to know us.

Radical Hospitality

We are a growing community with a long history, and we are eager to welcome new families into our story.

  • Inclusive of All: We warmly welcome interfaith families and individuals from all backgrounds who are seeking a Jewish connection.

  • Accessibility for All: Our sanctuary is fully accessible via our newly installed ramp, ensuring that all members of our community can
join us in prayer with ease and dignity.

"In a small community, your presence doesn't just count—it matters."

Whether you are looking for a place to say Kaddish, a community to grow with, or simply a quiet space to reflect, our doors are open to you.
