TRIBUTE CARDS

Tribute cards (In Honor Of, Get Well, Congratulations, In Memory Of, Happy New Year) may be sent for a $5.00 donation to TBI. Contact Arlene Fox arfox05@yahoo.com 267-247-5250 to have cards sent.

Some of you may be familiar with Arcadia Publishing’s series of books “IMAGES of America.” We have a number of them including “Strawberry Mansion The Jewish Community of North Philadelphia” and “The Jewish Community of South Philadelphia.” A recent addition is a book about Warrington. The book includes TBI. The book is available in local bookstores and at the Warrington Municipal Building. The Historical Commission in Warrington receives a portion of the sale.

The reason I am mentioning this is because the coauthor is Ken Samen, a TBI congregant. Ken was a moving force in TBI becoming recognized as a Warrington Historic Site. Mazal Tov to Ken (and Melissa and the family for their support). I’m sure Ken will be more than happy to autograph your copy of the book.

Box Tops 4 Education Fundraiser - I am happy to report that TBI has been approved for the Box Top Program. Each boxtop is worth 10 cents. They are found on numerous products. All you have to do is remove them from the package intact-preserving the expiration date. The students in the school will receive forms they may attach them to with tape or glue. The rest of the congregation may drop off the boxtops and place in the specially marked container in the hallway. You can register online at boxtops4education.com and select Tiferes B'nai Israel PTO as your school. This will give you money saving coupons, opportunities to make more box tops for the school and follow our progress. If you already are registered for your child's elementary school, please consider changing your profile to TBI. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
